Zumwalt North High School Plans Homecoming Celebration This Weekend

Fort Zumwalt North High School

Fort Zumwalt School District had hoped to honor the 50th anniversary of Class of 1966 at homecoming this coming weekend, but a lack of interest has forced them to cancel those plans.

The homecoming celebration will go on, however. The Fort Zumwalt/Fort Zumwalt North Hall of Fame will induct four new members at a ceremony at 5 p.m., September 23 in the auditorium.

The 2016 Hall of Fame Class includes: Brenda (Wenger) Lettera (Class of 1983) Personnel Security Manager for the United States Department of Defense; Thomas Morse (Class of 1986) composer; Dr. Bryan Painter (Class of 1988) Assistant Superintendent for Kirkwood School District; and Markus Bauman (Class of 1989) partner in King and Spalding‘s Corporate Practice, London office.

The celebration continues with a tailgate on the school parking lot beginning at 6 p.m. on Friday, September 23. The varsity football team will play against Wentzville Holt at 7 p.m. at the stadium.

At 9 a.m. on Saturday, September 24, the homecoming parade will leave Westhoff Elementary and wind its way down Homefield to St. Matthew, then down Tom Ginnier to North High. Then, at 7 p.m., the homecoming dance will wrap up the homecoming celebration.
