Wentzville Woman Seriously Injured in Crash on Highway P

A 44-year-old woman from Wentzville sustained serious injuries after a two-vehicle crash Monday morning on Highway P.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 1996 Ford Explorer driven by 30-year-old Chad L. Springer of O’Fallon was westbound on Highway P near Alois Avenue when it traveled into the oncoming eastbound lanes.

The Ford struck a 2014 Buick Encore head-on.

The driver of the Encore, a 16-year-old female from Wentzville, sustained minor injuries in the crash. A passenger in the vehicle, 44-year-old Laura D. Muller of Wentzville, sustained serious injuries. Both were transported to SSM St. Joseph Hospital – St. Charles by ambulance.

Springer sustained minor injuries and was transported to SSM St. Joseph Hospital – Lake Saint Louis.

All of those involved were wearing safety belts.

MSHP arrest records indicate that Springer was charged with second degree assault after the crash.
