Wentzville’s Planning and Zoning Commission has given its approval to plans for the construction of a Texas Roadhouse in Wentzville.
The restaurant, which will have the address of 15150 Veterans Memorial Parkway, will be an “upscale, sit-down, restaurant that will have a full-service bar,” according to city documents. The popular eatery’s emphasis is on food, however, and it caters to families in particular.
Hours of operation are expected to be 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday. The restaurant will have seating for 281 patrons, and as many as 40 employees would be on the premises during peak hours.
The site plan submitted by the developer indicates that the number of parking spaces to be added exceeds the number required by city code.
Along with the site plan and a record plat of the 2.44-acre addition to the Wentzville Shopping Center, the commission approved a conditional use permit for liquor by the drink for the new restaurant.
With P & Z approval, the plans now go to the Board of Aldermen for final approval.
