Wentzville School District Offers ACT Testing to Private, Parochial, Homeschool Students

On January 14, 2014 the State Board of Education approved the administration of ACT® Plus Writing for all Missouri high school juniors beginning in the 2014–2015 school year.

The cost of the tests and the administration of the tests is being covered by the State of Missouri. The Wentzville School District is opening the opportunity up to any non-public (private school, parochial school, or homeschooled) 11th grade student who resides in the boundaries of the Wentzville School District.

The statewide administration of the ACT® Plus Writing is scheduled for Tuesday, April 28, 2015. In order to be able to sit for the statewide administration, non-public students will be required to attend any pre-test sessions scheduled to fill out any non-test portions of the answer document, to complete the Student Profile Section, and to complete the ACT Interest Survey. Pre-test sessions will be scheduled for early April and will occur during normal school hours.

Eligible non-public students will need to be able to provide proof of residency in the Wentzville School District and proof of grade 11 status during the 2014–2015 school year.

Interested students, parents or guardians should contact David Brothers, Assessment Coordinator, by March 1, 2015 at 636-327-3800 extension 20358 or davidbrothers@wentzville.k12.mo.us.
