UPDATE: Wentzville School District Director of Communications Mary LaPak has confirmed that students on the district’s robotics team were on the bus when the accident occurred, but that there were no injuries. – Ed.
A Wentzville School District school bus reportedly “occupied with children” became wedged under a concrete parking structure in Huntsville, Alabama Wednesday night.
WAAY 31, an ABC affiliate in Huntsville, reported that the bus driver tried to use a ramp in the parking deck, but was not in the clearance zone. The bus struck the concrete ceiling and knocked out a piece of it. The Huntsville station is reporting that there were no injuries, and that the parking structure was not structurally compromised.

The school district is on spring break this week and no one was immediately available at the district administrative offices. A staffer in the transportation department was able to tell us that the Director of Transportation, David Wilson, is on his way to Alabama.
More information will be posted as it becomes available.
