Wentzville recycling event collects more than 27,000 pounds of electronic items

More than 27,000 pounds of electronic waste (or ewaste) was diverted from the landfill following Wentzville’s third Electronics Recycling Event on August 17.

Last Saturday, more than 350 participants came through the drive-thru event to drop off items including laptops, cell phones, TVs, printers, computers and more. Since 2018, Wentzville has diverted more than 82,000 pounds of ewaste from the landfill. Thanks to everyone who participated – including our awesome volunteers!

Please note: we will hold a second 2019 Electronics Recycling Event on Nov. 23 at Holt High School from 9-11:30 a.m. The November event will also include personal document shredding, which will be limited to six Banker’s Boxes OR three, 13-gallon trash bags per household.

The events are for individuals and families only, no businesses please.
