Wentzville Planning & Zoning to consider McAlister’s with drive-thru in Dierberg’s outlot

Proposed Wentzville McAlisters Deli

At its regular meeting on Tuesday, September 4, the Wentzville Planning & Zoning Commission will consider a conditional use permit and site plan for a McAlister’s Deli with a drive-thru window on the Dierberg’s outlot.

The site plan for the restaurant includes an 8,531-square foot multi-tenant retail plaza, with McAlister’s Deli occupying the end spot on the western side. The other two tenants have not been identified, although documents indicate that one of them could be another restaurant.

The drive-thru is being proposed as a pick-up lane only. The restaurant will not take orders from the window, and there will be no menu boards at this time.

Dierberg’s opened in April of 2006, and city documents state that an additional building was part of the original plan for the development.
