(Update: A source close to the family has reported to 70 West Sentinel that Eagan was a passenger in the utility vehicle, not the driver, and that the vehicle was on a gravel embankment when it rolled over. Eagan is in stable condition at a hospital in Rolla. -Ed.)
A 39-year-old man from Wentzville sustained serious injuries in a crash in south central Missouri Monday evening.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Christopher M. Eagan of Wentzville was driving a Polaris utility vehicle westbound on McCloy Road eight miles west of Licking, Missouri.
Eagan failed to negotiate a turn, causing the vehicle to roll over.
Eagan was taken by ambulance to Phelps County Regional Hospital in Rolla. He was not wearing a safety device at the time of the accident.
