Wentzville Man Killed in Head-On Crash; Driver Arrested for DWI

A St. Charles woman was arrested for DWI and vehicular manslaughter after a Wentzville man died in a head-on crash late Saturday night.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Wade A. Rose, 48, was in a 2007 Toyota 4Runner westbound on Veterans Memorial Parkway at 10:25 p.m. Saturday when an eastbound vehicle crossed the center line and struck him head-on.

The eastbound vehicle, a 2013 Nissan Altima was being driven by Susan G. Bell, 47, of St. Charles. Rose’s vehicle went off the right side of the road and overturned.

Rose, who was not wearing a safety device, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Bell sustained moderate injuries and was transported to SSM St. Joseph Hospital – St. Charles.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol arrest records, Bell was arrested for vehicular manslaughter, driving while intoxicated and driving while revoked.
