Wentzville Board of Aldermen March 22 Agenda: Burger King Revisions, Annexations

The Wentzville Board of Aldermen will meet at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Wentzville City Hall.

On the agenda for the regular meeting, which is open to the public:

  • Arbor Day proclamation
  • Public hearing and resolution for conditional use permit, and site plan approval, for Burger King at Wentzville Bluffs (tabled at February 22 meeting)
  • Public hearing and first reading for rezoning of 2.47 acres at Z and Peruque Hills Parkway from agricultural to planned development residential (15 single family homes in attached groups of three) – request to table until April 12

  • Public hearing and resolution for conditional use permit for liquor by the drink for China Buffet at 1126 West Pearce
  • Public hearing and first reading of rezoning and preliminary development plan of 41.416 acres at 601 Kammeier Road from single family residential to planned development residential for 91-lot subdivision to be known as Meadowside
  • Public hearing and resolution for conditional use permit for outdoor storage at Choppers Automotive Repair at 700 Luetkenhaus Boulevard
  • First reading of an amendment to the city code about submitting sealed drawings for residential construction projects
  • First reading of an ordinance to vacate easements at the Wentzville Logistics Center
  • First reading of a voluntary annexation of 2.62 acres on the east side of Luetkenhaus, at the intersection with Wall Street
  • First reading of a voluntary annexation of 57.03 acres at the northeast corner of Wentzville Parkway and William Dierberg Drive (the Brune family farm)
  • Consent agenda: minutes approval, donation of vehicle from Poage Chevy for D.A.R.E. program, purchase of vehicles for parks and public works, purchase equipment for wastewater division, and an agreement for sediment and erosion control for the Rural King addition
  • Final approval of an amendment to the city code to prohibit parking on both sides of Whitehead Street between East Third Street and East Fourth Street
  • First reading, second reading and final passage for an amendment to the agreement with the city and NP Wentzville Building I (related to the city’s deed of trust for the NorthPoint development)
  • First reading of the acceptance of public improvements at Carolton Glen Subdivision
  • First reading of the acceptance of public improvements at Huntsdale Plat 2
  • First reading of the acceptance of public improvements at Peruque Hills Estates Plat 6
  • First reading of the acceptance of public improvements at Brook Ridge Estates Plat 2
  • First reading of a $3 surcharge on municipal court cases for the sheriff’s retirement fund (required by the State of Missouri, was legally challenged but was upheld)
  • Preliminary tax levy for 2017 (staff recommends holding at current rate of .7518)
  • Contribution to the MML Advocacy Fund (Missouri Municipal League assisted in a lawsuit against TracFone, and are asking for five percent back to cover costs. Wentzville would be giving $1,371 of the $27,409 received in the settlement.)
  • Discussion on cluster box units (Mandate from USPS to require clustered mailboxes on new projects)
  • Discussion of traffic calming measures
