Wentzville Board of Aldermen April 11 agenda: Sex offenders to be banned from parks

The Wentzville Board of Aldermen will meet on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Wentzville City Hall. On the agenda for the meeting, which starts at 6 p.m. and is open to the public:

  • Swearing in officer and introduction of new staffer
  • First reading of the annexation of 67.377 acres comprising multiple parcels on the west side of Wilmer Road south of Interstate Drive
  • Resolution of a landscaping agreement with the Fairview Farms homeowners association
  • Public hearing and first reading for an amendment to the city code concerning electronic message centers
  • First reading for the record plat for the Manors at Wilmer Valley Plat 10
  • Public hearing and first reading for a rezoning of 6.62 acres at 105 Highway A from heavy industrial to highway commercial
  • Public hearing for a conditional use permit for liquor by the drink for Playtime Party Center at 105 Highway A
  • Public hearing and first reading of a rezoning of 68.22 acres and a preliminary development plan for the Boulevard at Wilmer Valley, on the west side of Wilmer Road north of Wilmer Valley Drive
  • First reading of the final development plan for Westhaven, on the west side of Peine Road
  • Public hearing and resolution for a conditional use permit for outdoor material storage, and site plan approval for MAR-II Concrete Company at 220 Interstate Drive
  • First reading of a final development plan for the Woodlands at Providence
  • Consent agenda: minutes, destruction of records, purchase of vision detection system (replacement of traffic detection equipment at Wentzville Parkway and Pearce), agreement for water meters, agreement for rock salt
  • Final approval of the acceptance of improvements at the Oaks at Lexington Plat 2
  • Final approval of the acceptance of improvements at Wentzville Firehouse #1
  • First reading of a budget amendment increasing revenues by $600,000 (matching funds for Jake’s Field of Dreams) and expenditures by $7,199,000 (encumbrances and re-appropriations from 2017)
  • First reading of the acceptance of improvements at Twin Oaks at Stone Ride Plat 2
  • First reading of an intergovernmental agreement between Wentzville and Florissant (pool for lifeguard training)
  • First reading of an intergovernmental agreement between Wentzville and MoDOT (Work Zone Enforcement Program)
  • First reading of an amendment to the city code to prohibit sex offenders from being within 500 feet of a public park, community pool, or child care facility
  • First reading of an amendment to adopt an amendment about standby duty pay
  • Resolution for engineering and support services for Parks and Recreation
  • Resolution for the purchase of property for a future public works facility
  • Resolution for the donation of property for easements and right of way for the construction of David Hoekel Parkway
  • Discussion of Glenhurst subdivision College Park Drive

The agenda also allows for public comment time and reports from the aldermen, the mayor, and the city administrator.
