Friday, October 28

  • Candy Science, 4 p.m. to 5 p.m., Corporate Parkway Library, Wentzville. Sticky, oozy experiments with candy. Register online.
  • Bingo, doors open 5 p.m., games start at 7 p.m., American Legion Post 323, Wentzville. Smoking and nonsmoking available, 50/50, attendance prizes, concessions available.
  • Legends & Lanterns – Saturday, October 22, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Historic St. Charles Main Street. Characters, shopping, hay wagon. Pumpkin glow and late-night shopping.
  • Family Goulish Party and Movie Spooktacular, 5:30 p.m., Fireman’s Park, Wentzville. Games, activities, costume contest, hay maze, giveaways. Movie “Hocus Pocus” at 7 p.m., bring blanket or lawn chair. Preregistered children receive a pumpkin, hot dog, bag of chips and drink. Register at (636) 332-9236.
  • Night of Fright Haunted House, 6 p.m. to 12 a.m., Youth Activity Park, 7801 Highway N, Dardenne Prairie. Haunted maze. Admission $5.
  • Public Stargazing, 7 p.m., Broemmelsiek Park. Weather permitting, telescopes available. Free, registration required for large groups.

Saturday, October 29

  • Lake Saint Louis Farmers and Artists Market, 8 a.m. to noon. Meadows shopping center parking lot.
  • Saturday Morning Chess Club, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., Middendorf-Kredell Branch Library, 2750 Highway K, O’Fallon. Drop in for a friendly game of chess, no registration required.
  • Legends & Lanterns – Saturday, October 22, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Historic St. Charles Main Street. Characters, shopping, hay wagon. Pumpkin glow and late-night shopping, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
  • GMFCU Family Fun Festival. 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., Gateway Metro Federal Credit Union, 1421 Jungermann Road, St. Peters. Trick-or-treating, magician/balloon sculptor, face painting, pumpkin decorating, costume contest (no masks, please). Also free electronics recycling (some fees may apply), document shredding, door prizes. Visits from Fredbird and Ruffy. Free admission.

  • Trunk or Treat, Wentzville VFW parking lot, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Night of Fright Haunted House, 6 p.m. to 12 a.m., Youth Activity Park, 7801 Highway N, Dardenne Prairie. Haunted maze. Admission $5.
  • Spooktacular, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., The Crossings Church, 115 May Road, Wentzville. Trick or treating, costumes encouraged but not required.
  • Andrew’s Hugs Haunted Trivia, 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., Boone Center Inc., 200 Trade Center Drive West, St. Peters. Teams of 8, prizes for best table and best costume. Drinks provided. Register online.

Sunday, October 30

  • Wentzville Community Club Flea Market, 6 a.m., 500 West Main Street, Wentzville. 400 vendor spaces. No animals allowed.
  • Legends & Lanterns – Saturday, October 22, 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Historic St. Charles Main Street. Characters, shopping, hay wagon.
  • Trunk or Treat, 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., First Baptist Church of Lake St. Louis. Free.

  • Trunk or Treat at The Oasis Church, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., 324 Sonderen Street, O’Fallon.
