Looking for some fun things to do this weekend? 70 West Sentinel has rounded up some family-friendly activities in St. Charles County, including the final weekend for the Renaissance Festival in Wentzville.

Friday, October 14

  • Bingo, doors open 5 p.m., games start at 7 p.m., American Legion Post 323, Wentzville. Smoking and nonsmoking available, 50/50, attendance prizes, concessions available.
  • Public Stargazing, 7 p.m., Broemmelsiek Park. Weather permitting, telescopes available. Free, registration required for large groups.

Saturday, October 15

  • Lake Saint Louis Farmers and Artists Market, 8 a.m. to noon. Meadows shopping center parking lot.
  • Saturday Morning Chess Club, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., Middendorf-Kredell Branch Library, 2750 Highway K, O’Fallon. Drop in for a friendly game of chess, no registration required.
  • Scrapbooking (and more) Workday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Corporate Parkway Library, Wentzville. Bring your own supplies and a lunch if you wish. Sign up online.
  • St. Louis Renaissance Festival, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Rotary Park, Wentzville. Live entertainment, period-inspired merchants, jousting, food and drink. Ticket prices available on website. Weekend theme: Highland Fling
  • Winghaven Trunk or Treat, 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m., Midwest Bank Center, O’Fallon. Inflatables, games, giveaways, DJ music. Photos with the Ghostbusters.
  • Juggling Jeff Show, 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., Middendorf-Kredell Library, O’Fallon. Comedy juggling show for all ages. Register online.
  • Assumption Fall Festival, 1 p.m. to 11 p.m., Assumption Parish, 403 North Main Street, O’Fallon. Carnival rides, live music, food and beverages. Pork steak dinner at 6 p.m. Haunted hay ride, 6 p.m.
  • Friends of Wentzville Parks Trivia Night, 6:30 p.m., Wentzville Community Club. Benefits Unlimited Play and Jake’s Field of Dreams. Costume contest and award for best Halloween decorated table. $160 per table. Light snack and beverages provided. Call (636) 332-9236.
  • MOVIES: “Frankenstein” and “Bride of Frankenstein,” 6:30 p.m. at the Heritage Museum, 1630 Heritage Landing, St. Peters 63303. Movie begins at sunset. Free popcorn, other concessions for sale. Bring a lawn chair or blanket, no glass bottles allowed.
  • Haunted Trail and Bonfire Party, 6:30 p.m. to 11 p.m., Legacy Park, Cottleville. 30-minute walking trail begins after sundown, $15 admission. No charge for bonfire party, music and yard games. Food trucks and beverage sales available.

Sunday, October 16

  • Wentzville Community Club Flea Market, 6 a.m., 500 West Main Street, Wentzville. 400 vendor spaces. No animals allowed.
  • Blessing of the Pets, 9 a.m. during Sunday worship service at Masonic Lodge Park, Defiance. Pets welcomed, in carriers or leashed.
  • St. Louis Renaissance Festival, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Rotary Park, Wentzville. Live entertainment, period-inspired merchants, jousting, food and drink. Ticket prices available on website. Weekend theme: Highland Fling
  • Assumption Fall Festival, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Assumption Parish, 403 North Main Street, O’Fallon. Carnival rides, live music, food and beverages. Turkey and sausage dinner.
