Looking for some fun things to do this weekend? 70 West Sentinel has rounded up some family-friendly activities in St. Charles County, including coloring for adults and a campout at the Youth Activity Park.

Friday, May 20

  • Cookies and Coloring for Adults, 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., Middendorf-Kredell Library, O’Fallon. Register online.
  • Teen Gaming Club, 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., Corporate Parkway Library. Super Smash Brothers on Wii U, plus other games.
  • Bingo, doors open 5 p.m., games start at 7 p.m., American Legion Post 323, Wentzville. Smoking and nonsmoking available, 50/50, attendance prizes, concessions available.
  • Wentzville Days Fair & Music Festival, 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Carnival, vendors, live music.
  • Public Stargazing, 7 p.m., Broemmelsiek Park. Weather permitting, telescopes available. Free, registration required for large groups.

Saturday, May 21

  • First Time Ride Clinic, 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m., Youth Activity Park, 7801 Highway N, Dardenne Prairie 63368. 30-minute guided tour of park, private clinic for young skateboard, scooter, and BMX riders. Register online.
  • Historical Children’s Festival, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., First Missouri State Capitol, 200 S. Main Street, St. Charles 63301. Experience how families lived, learned and played in the 1820s. Free admission.
  • Armed Forces Day Ceremony, 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., Veterans Memorial Park, 800 Veterans Memorial Parkway, O’Fallon 63366.
  • Wentzville Days Fair & Music Festival, noon to 11 p.m. Carnival, vendors, live music, car show, barbecue competition, pageants, Chair-ish Wentzville art event.


  • Backyard Campout, 4 p.m. Saturday to 10 a.m. Sunday, Youth Activity Park, 7801 Highway N, Dardenne Prairie 63368. Fun for the whole family – activities and games, dinner and a light breakfast. $10 registration fee. Register online.
  • Movie in the Park, “Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark” 8 p.m., Heritage Museum, 1630 Heritage Landing, St. Peters 63303. Free popcorn, concessions available. Bring a chair or blanket.

Sunday, May 22

  • Wentzville Community Club Flea Market, 6 a.m., 354-388 West Main Street, Wentzville. 400 vendor spaces. No animals allowed.
  • Wentzville Days Fair & Music Festival, noon to 6 p.m. Carnival, vendors, live music, car show, barbecue competition.
  • Sunday Funday, 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., North Main Street, St. Charles. Live entertainment, purchase a wristband and get food samples from area restaurants.
