Weekend Events for May 8-10: Stargazing, Suffragettes, Consignment Sale

Friday, May 8

  • Arbor Day Celebration, 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., Boulevard Park, Lake Saint Louis. Tree identification, tree planting, presentation about the Emerald Ash Borer. For more information, call Lake Saint Louis Parks and Rec at 636-561-4620.
  • Recycled Kids Consignment Sale, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. St. Charles Convention Center, One Convention Center Plaza, St. Charles. Children’s clothing (sizes 0-20), toys, furniture, baby equipment. Free admission.
  • Stargazing at Broemmelsiek Park, 1615 Schwede Road, Wentzville. Weather permitting, starts at dusk. St. Charles County Parks Department and the Astronomical Society of Eastern Missouri. Free admission, advance registration required for large groups.

Saturday, May 9

  • Lake Saint Louis Farmers and Artists Market, 8 a.m. to noon. Meadows shopping center parking lot.
  • Recycled Kids Consignment Sale, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. St. Charles Convention Center, One Convention Center Plaza, St. Charles. Children’s clothing (sizes 0-20), toys, furniture, baby equipment, half price sale. Free admission.
  • Pitch, Hit & Run competition at T.R. Hughes Ballpark, 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Kids 7-14 years old.
  • Suffragette Brigade Organizational Meeting, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Middendorf-Kredell Library, 2750 Highway K, O’Fallon. Living history group organizing re-enacting unit for parades, etc., to celebrate 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment. (636) 443-9975 for more info.
