Friday, August 12

  • Bingo, doors open 5 p.m., games start at 7 p.m., American Legion Post 323, Wentzville. Smoking and nonsmoking available, 50/50, attendance prizes, concessions available.

Saturday, August 13

  • Lake Saint Louis Farmers and Artists Market, 8 a.m. to noon. Meadows shopping center parking lot.
  • Free electronics recycling, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., CarShield Field. Charge for cathode ray tube TVs.
  • Saturday Morning Chess Club, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., Middendorf-Kredell Branch Library, 2750 Highway K, O’Fallon. Drop in for a friendly game of chess, no registration required.
  • Meet Daniel Boone, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Historic Daniel Boone Home at Lindenwood Park in Defiance. Admission charge.
  • Story Time, 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Deer Run Library. Ages 2-7, families welcome. Stories and a snack.
  • Bubble Bus, 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., Corporate Parkway Library. Bubbles and music. Ages 3-6, families welcome.
  • Wentzville Community Club Bingo, doors open at 4 p.m., games begin at 6:30 p.m. Wentzville Community Club, 500 West Main. Must be 16 years old to play. Concessions available.
  • Foundry Music Showcase, doors open at 6 p.m., show starts at 7 p.m. Enjoy popular St. Louis area bands. Cash bar. $12 admission.

Sunday, August 14

  • Wentzville Community Club Flea Market, 6 a.m., 354-388 West Main Street, Wentzville. 400 vendor spaces. No animals allowed.
  • Auditions for O’Fallon TheaterWorks production of The Diary of Anne Frank, 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. O’Fallon Municipal Centre.
  • O’Fallon History Tours, 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. Tour the Heald Home and Zumwalt’s Fort at Zumwalt Park ($5 admission), and the Log Cabin Museum at Civic Park (donation).
  • St. Charles Community Big (Jazz) Band free concert, 7;30 p.m., Frontier Park, St. Charles. Bring a lawn chair or blanket.
