Looking for some fun things to do this weekend? 70 West Sentinel has rounded up some of the activities available in St. Charles County, including nighttime mountain biking and a trail work day at Indian Camp Creek Park.

Friday, April 8

  • Builders St. Charles Home Show, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., St. Charles Convention Center. 350 booths, speakers, new products. Free admission.
  • Charity Chicken Fry, 5 p.m., Knights of Columbus Hall Flint Hill, Grothe Road, Wentzville 63385.
  • Bingo, doors open 5 p.m., games start at 7 p.m., American Legion Post 323, Wentzville. Smoking and nonsmoking available, 50/50, attendance prizes, concessions available.
  • Public Stargazing, 7 p.m., Broemmelsiek Park. Weather permitting, telescopes available. Free, registration required for large groups.

  • Friday Night Mountain Bike Rides, 8 p.m. to 11 p.m., Indian Camp Creek Park, 2679 Dietrich Road, Foristell 63348. Experienced cyclists. Helmet and 200 lumen light required. Register online.

Saturday, April 9

  • Free Electronics recycling, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., T.R. Hughes Ballpark west parking lot. (Charge for cathode ray tube TVs)
  • Saturday Morning Chess Club, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., Middendorf-Kredell Branch Library, 2750 Highway K, O’Fallon. Drop in for a friendly game of chess, no registration required.
  • Trail Work Day, 9 a.m to 1 p.m., Indian Camp Creek Park, 2679 Dietrich Road, Foristell 63348. Volunteer to help with the parks trail system. Bring gloves, sturdy boots, safety glasses. Register online.
  • Builders St. Charles Home Show, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., St. Charles Convention Center. 350 booths, speakers, new products. Free admission.
  • Babaloo – music and fun for school age kids and families, 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., Deer Run Branch Library. Registration required.
  • Wentzville Community Club Bingo, doors open at 4 p.m., games begin at 6:30 p.m. Must be 16 years old to play. Concessions available.

  • FrogWatch USA Program, 6:30 p.m., Broemmelsiek Park, 1795 Highway DD, Defiance 63341 Learn how to volunteer and monitor a body of water during the frog breeding season to gather info that can help stop amphibian decline.
