Public Water Supply District #2 posted an update on their website Wednesday morning, saying that they were waiting for test results before lifting the water conservation order that was put into place on Monday:
9:00 am, June 28, 2017: The District is awaiting lab results of the required water samples prior to reopening the transmission main for operation. Pending favorable test results, the conservation order is expected to be lifted late in the day today. Please continue to conserve water until the order is lifted.
The conservation order was prompted by a leak caused by corrosion in a 36-inch water main that brings a supply of water from St. Louis to western St. Charles County.
