Spanning the Generations Art Show

The Fifth Annual Spanning the Generations Art Show, held last month in Wentzville, featured the work of more than 90 artists, with 240 works of art on display.

The show awarded cash prizes to six artists, plus a Mayor’s choice winner and a Heart of Missouri winner. Winners were:

Student Category: 1st Place – Diana Janikow – Sweet Nothing,  2nd place – Olivia Blackmore – Fog, 3rd Place Nikki Hagen – “But People Don’t Believe Me”, Honorary Mention: Larissa Smith – “We Need to Talk”, Honorary Mention – Charlotte Davis  “Deconstructed Box Fan”

Non-Professional Category: 1st Place – Kelley Tanner -“Weather Reports”, 2nd Place – Megan Sansoucie – “Dionisis”, 3rd Place – Mary Greener – “Alaskan Train Ride” – Honorary Mention – Lynn Schaff – “Iceland 1”, Honorary Mention – William Blakey – “Sycamore”

Professional Category: – 1st Place – Angela Froome – “Standing Tension”, 2nd Place – Debbie Kindschuh – “Reflections 2”,  3rd Place: Bruce Howard – “Vase with Silver”, Honorary Mention – Monte West – “Indian Owl”, Honorary Mention – Sally Vikman  -“Scarf”

Mayor’s Choice Award – Charlotte Davis

Heart of Missouri Award, presented by Representative Brian Spencer –  “Holy Cow”

The Crossroads Arts Council is already looking forward to next year’s show, with the dates tentatively set for March 5-6, 2020.
