Teens and adults invited to free disaster response and preparedness skills course

Teen CERT training
Students learn how to treat medical emergencies, and search for and rescue disaster victims, among other skills.

The Mid America Teen Community Emergency Response Team (TEEN CERT) program is offering the community the unique training opportunity to learn disaster preparedness skills.

The free 22-hour course covers the topics of Disaster Preparedness, Fire Safety and Utility Control, Search and Rescue Operations, Incident Command and Team Organization, Disaster Medical Operations, Disaster Psychology, Special Needs Considerations, and Terrorism.

The course will be taught throughout St. Charles County and surrounding regions:

  • April 12-14, 2019 at Lake Timberline Fire Department, 1889 Wood Hill Drive, Bonne Terre, MO
  • May 3-5, 2019 at Beaumont Scout Reservation, 6480 Beaumont Reservation Drive, High Ridge, MO
  • May 17-19, 2019 at Wentzville FPD Station #3, 1146 Clinton Prinster Memorial Drive, Foristell, MO
  • September 13-15, 2019 at Patriot Center, 2405 Logistics Road, Jefferson City, MO
