Student News: The Citadel, Iowa State Dean’s Lists, Central Methodist Grads

Central Methodist University

More than 280 Central Methodist University students graduated in December of 2016 through CMU’s main campus in Fayette, extended locations, and online programs. Among them were:

  • Scott Breeden, Wentzville, Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice degree through CMU’s main campus in Fayette
  • Shannon Bensing, O’Fallon, Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree through CMU’s Online Program
  • Robyn Harmon, Wentzville, Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree through CMU’s Online Program
  • Morgan Hauk, Wentzville, Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree through CMU’s Online Program
  • Melinda Henson, Wentzville, Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree through CMU’s Online Program
  • Daniel Jacobs, Lake Saint Louis, Bachelor of Science in Computer Science degree through CMU’s Online Program
  • Darla Mansker, St. Peters, Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree through CMU’s Online Program
  • Romney Rice-Dunn, St. Peters, Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree through CMU’s Online Program

Central Methodist University student Alexis Hagemeyer, from St. Peters, has been inducted into The National Society of Leadership and Success at CMU. The University inducted its first cohort of 89 members on December 9, 2016.

The National Society of Leadership and Success is made up of students selected by their college for membership based on academic standing and leadership potential.

To become an inducted member, a student must complete a semester-long training program that includes orientation, a three-hour leadership training seminar, attend three motivational speaker broadcasts, and attend three Success Networking Team Meetings, according to Jackie Jackson, advisor for the CMU chapter.

 

Southeast Missouri State University

The following students have been awarded scholarships to attend Southeast Missouri State University for the 2017-2018 academic year:

  • Emily Fluchel of Wentzville has received the Community College Scholarship and Visual and Performing Arts Scholarship. Fluchel is the daughter of Jeffery and Michelle Fluchel of Wentzville. She is a 2015 graduate of Fort Zumwalt North High School and will be a 2017 graduate of St. Charles Community College.
  • Ayshia Gray of O’Fallon has received the Residence Life Leadership Award. Gray is the daughter of Andino and Veronica Gray of O’Fallon, Missouri, and will be a 2017 graduate of Fort Zumwalt South High School.
  • Alexandra Bruemmer of St. Peters has received the Residence Life Leadership Award. Bruemmer is the daughter of Dean and Lisa Bruemmer of St. Peters and will be a 2017 graduate of Francis Howell Central High School.
  • Kathryn Dains of Wentzville has received the University Scholarship and Residence Life Leadership Award. Dains is the daughter of Darryl and Dawn Dains, and will be a 2017 graduate of Holt High School.
  • Zachary Pangilinan of O’Fallon has received the President’s Scholarship, Residence Life Leadership Award and Educational Access Program Merit. Pangilinan is the son of Kevin and Stephanie Pangilinan of O’Fallon and will be a 2017 graduate of Fort Zumwalt West High School.

 

The Citadel (Charleston, SC)

Members of The Citadel South Carolina Corps of Cadets earned top honors in the fall 2016 semester. Dean’s List recognition is given to cadets registered for 12 or more semester hours and whose grade point average is 3.2 or higher with no grade below a C for the previous semester’s work.

Ryan Palmer of Dardenne Prairie was recognized for outstanding academic achievement and earned Dean’s List recognition for the fall 2016 semester.

 

Iowa State

Hannah Greco of St. Peters has been named to the Iowa State University College of Human Sciences Fall 2016 Dean’s List. Dean’s List students have earned a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

 

Becker College (Worcester, MA)

Madison Rigsby of O’Fallon was named to the Becker College Dean’s List for the Fall 2016 semester. Rigsby is pursing a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science.
