On these two special nights, millions of lights will be twinkling along a route lined with whimsical holiday scenes featuring favorite movie and storyland characters, inspiring nativities, and more. Along the way, warm up with a cup of cocoa, visit with Santa, listen as carolers fill the air with music, and catch the excitement of fireworks over Lake Whetsel (7:25 p.m.). Visitors also can:

  • Step into the historic Heald Home and shop for hand-crafted holiday gifts, decorations, winter wear, blankets, jewelry and baked goodies.
  • Visit the St. Charles Model Railroad Club’s display of working model trains rolling past miniature city and country landscapes. www.stcharlesrailroadclub.org/

Pedestrians are welcome to bring strollers, wagons, walkers and wheelchairs, but no pets or dogs (except service dogs), motorized hoverboards, kids’ scooters, bikes or skateboards will be allowed.
