The St. Louis Renaissance Faire is holding a casting call for its annual event at Wentzville’s Rotary Park. The festival, which is under new management, has extended its run from four weekends to five weekends, May 16 – June 14.
Interested “rennies” can find out more at the Hilton St. Louis Airport, 10330 Natural Bridge Road, in St. Louis on Saturday, January 24 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The renaissance faire, which features jousting, live entertainment and period-inspired shopping, began in Wentzville in 1999 as the Greater St. Louis Renaissance Faire at Wentzville under the management of local nonprofit Renaissance St. Louis.
Last year, Minnesota-based Mid America Festivals, which also owns and manages the Kansas City Renaissance Festival, took over management of the event.
The company has also announced themes for each of the five weekends:
- May 16-17 – High Seas Adventure
- May 23-25 – Highland Fling
- May 30-31 – Wine, Chocolate and Romance
- June 6-7 – Shamrocks and Shenanigans
- June 13-14 – Passport to Adventure
