St. Charles County Food Inspection Scores: Denny’s, Qdoba, Golden Corral, Gingham’s

The St. Charles County Department of Public Health monitors more than 1,300 food service providers in St. Charles County. (The City of St. Peters conducts its own inspections.) Routine inspections are conducted by specialists with the department for proper food safety procedures and are scored by deducting points from a starting score of 100.

The following acronyms are used in violation information: PHF (Potentially Hazardous Food), TCS (Time/Temperature Control for Safety), FCS (Food-contact Surface), NFC (Non-food contact surface), RTE (Read to Eat).

The following scores were posted during the weeks of May 29 – June 4, 2019.

Wentzville

  • Crossmark at Sam’s Club, 3055 Bear Creek Drive – score 100

Lake Saint Louis

  • Denny’s, 1300 Lake Saint Louis Boulevard – score 100

Dardenne Prairie

  • Qdoba Mexican Eats, 7863 Highway N – score 100

O’Fallon

  • El Azteca Mexican Restaurant, 4265 Keaton Crossing Boulevard – score 93

Unlabeled spray bottle 5(pnt) – Observed numerous unlabeled spray bottles (pink squirt bottle in bar, spray bottle in bar, spray bottle by cans/storage, spray bottle by front cookline). Label all containers with common name of chemical.

Outer openings unprotected 2(pnt) – Observed gap at the bottom of the exterior back delivery door. Repair/Replace door sweep to help with pest control measures.

No towels or dryer at sink 5(pnt) – Handtowels not provided at handsink. Handsink also obstructed.

Found sanitizer buckets and 3 compartment sink sanitizer concentration at 0 ppm. Found sanitizer container empty. Container replaced and sanitizer buckets and sink filled to concentration of 200-300 ppm quat. Violation corrected on site.
