St. Charles Community College Presentation of ‘State Fair’ Features Actors from Wentzville, O’Fallon

State Fair

St. Charles Community College’s Center Stage Theatre will present State Fair July 21-26, in the Donald D. Shook Fine Arts Building theater on the SCC campus.

The show will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday, July 21-23; 8 p.m. Friday-Saturday, July 24-25; and 2 p.m. Sunday, July 26. Tickets are free to SCC students with ID, or $8 general admission and $6 seniors, veterans and students. The campus is located at 4601 Mid Rivers Mall Drive in Cottleville.

Set against the colorfulbackdrop of an American heartland tradition, State Fair travels with the Frake family as they leave behind the daily routine of farm life for three days of adventure at the annual Iowa State Fair. Mom and Pop have their hearts set on blue ribbons, while their daughter and son find both romance and heartbreak. Set to the magical strains of an Academy Award winning score, this is the kind of warm-hearted family entertainment that only Rodgers and Hammerstein can deliver.

The cast members from O’Fallon include: Nicole Junkel, Cori Nelson, Danny Junkel, Justin Spurgeon, Grace Boyer, Marie Malach, Candice Stine and Lea Eilers. Actors from Wentzville include: Gage Whitehurst and Riley Grady.
