The St. Patrick’s Knights of Columbus Assembly will mark the 15th anniversary of 9-11 with a Patriot’s Day Run on September 11, 2016. The event is intended to recognize the profound changes that the tragedy brought to America and its people.

Proceeds from the 6th Annual Patriot’s Day run will benefit the Backstoppers and Missouri USO, with each support group receiving half of the money raised.

This event includes 10K and 5K runs, a 1K fun walk, and a quarter-mile march. Costs for participation range from $45 for the 10K to $20 for the march. Participation can also be done as a virtual runner for $25.

Races will begin at 8 a.m. at Carshield Field/Rascals Ball Park in O’Fallon.

Backstoppers provide support for those lives and families affected by the loss of a First Responder in the line of duty. The USO, as we all know, benefits members of the military. Police, firefighters, and EMT’s were the first in when America was attacked at the World Trade Center site and Pentagon. Our military entered the war on terrorism shortly thereafter.
