Patriotic Music Planned for Tuesday Night Concert in O’Fallon

Civic Park will resound with music performed by the O’Fallon Jazz Band and the O’Fallon Community Concert Band for the O’Fallon Jammin’ Concert series from 6:30 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, June 23.

Admission and parking are free. Concessions include Italian ice by Sorelle and hot dogs and pulled barbecue pork and for sale by the Lion’s Club.

The O’Fallon Jazz Band will open the concert at 6:30 p.m. with a playlist that includes “Old Man River,” “Blue Tango,” “In the Wee Hours of the Morning,” “I’m Getting Sentimental Over You,” and others.

The O’Fallon Community Concert Band with guest vocalist Kathy Lawton-Brown will take the stage at about 7:45 p.m. With the Fourth of July coming up, the concert will feature patriotic music, including “An American Fanfare,” “The US Military Service Songs Medley,” “America the Beautiful” and “God Bless America.” And the audience will be invited to join in on “The Ultimate Patriotic Sing-Along.”

O’Fallon Jammin’ Outdoor Concerts are scheduled on Tuesday evenings through August 18, except June 30. Patrons should bring chairs or blankets for lawn seating around the Civic Park Bandstand. An ADA-accessible playground, walking path and restrooms are located nearby. All pets must be leashed and no glass containers are allowed in the park.
