Two area teens were among five people injured Sunday night when a Mini Cooper crashed in Callaway County.
Nicholas A. Bohanan, 19, of O’Fallon, was the driver of the 2003 Mini Cooper who failed to negotiate a turn on Highway WW at County Road 350.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the car went off the left side of the road, where it hit a chevron post and overturned.
Bohanan sustained minor injuries and was released at the scene.
Samuel E. Huesgen, 18, of Wentzville, was a passenger in the vehicle. He sustained moderate injuries and was transported to University Hospital.
Three other teens, an 18-year-old female from Oak Grove, a 19-year-old female from Pleasant Hill, and a 19-year-old from Belton also sustained injuries.
Two of the teens were wearing safety belts, and two were not. It is unknown if the fifth was wearing a safety belt.
