Tickets are available for O’FallonTheatreWorks’ newest production, Peter and the Starcatcher. This Tony Award-winning prequel to the story of the legendary Peter Pan is filled with adventure, humor, music and imaginative stagecraft, with 12 actors portraying 100 different characters.
The story begins in Victorian England as three orphaned boys are sold to the sinister captain of the Neverland, which then sets sail for a remote jungle island. During the voyage, the boys are befriended by Molly, a Starcatcher in-training. Molly’s mission is to protect a mysterious trunk filled with starstuff, a celestial substance so powerful that it must never fall into the wrong hands, particularly not villainous pirates.
“This is the backstory story of Peter Pan, and it’s unlike anything you’ve ever seen before,” said Artistic Director Melissa Boyer. “The play offers a kid-friendly adventure with humor that adults will laugh at and enjoy as well. Audiences should come prepared to have fun.”
Peter and the Starcatcher will be performed on February 24, 25, and 26 and March 3, 4, and 5 at the O’Fallon Municipal Centre, 100 North Main Street, O’Fallon, Missouri 63366. Curtain times are 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. on Sundays.
