O’Fallon Police Blotter: Out-of-state teens charged with stealing from cash register

The following reports for January 31 – February 6, 2018 were supplied to 70 West Sentinel by the O’Fallon Police Department. A report of an arrest or charges filed is not an assumption of guilt, nor does it indicate that anyone was convicted of any crime.

Wednesday, January 31

  • A purse and cash were reported stolen from a motor vehicle in the 2700 block of Highway K at 12:19 p.m. A window was damaged to gain entry.
  • A radar detector was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 7900 block of Holly Oak Court at 12:52 p.m. The item was recovered.
  • A delayed report of an assault in the 1000 block of Bryan Road was taken at 10:14 a.m. No one was transported for injuries.
  • A television, blacklight, phone, lockset, and motor oil were reported stolen in the 1300 block of Highway K at 1:44 p.m.
  • A domestic assault was reported in the 300 block of Camilla Drive at 1:56 p.m. Dennis Gillespie, 37, of St. Charles County, was arrested and charged by the county prosecutor with domestic assault, third and fourth degree. Bond was set at $25,000.
  • An assault was reported in the 4600 block of Highway K at 4:42 p.m. No one was transported for injuries. An arrest was made and charges will be pursued with the municipal court.
  • An assault was reported at 8:48 p.m. in the 2900 block of Highway K. The victim received treatment for minor injuries. The investigation is ongoing.

Thursday, February 1

  • A handgun was reported stolen from an undamaged vehicle in the 300 block of Westridge Drive at 12:39 p.m.
  • Shoplifting was reported in the 1300 block of Highway K at 1:55 p.m.
  • Lottery tickets were reported stolen in the 2000 block of Highway K at 2:51 p.m. The investigation is ongoing.

Friday, February 2

  • Two license plates were reported stolen in the 200 block of Tyndale Drive at 3:10 p.m.
  • Clothing was reported stolen in the 100 block of O’Fallon Plaza at 3:56 p.m.
  • Copper wiring and other equipment were reported stolen in the 1800 block of West Terra Lane at 5:25 p.m.
  • An assault was reported in the 100 block of Country Life Drive at 10:35 p.m. No one was transported for injuries. Neither party wished to file charges. One subject was issued a summons on an unrelated charge.

Saturday, February 3

  • A domestic assault was reported in the 1100 block of North Main Street at 12:11 a.m. No one was transported for injuries. An arrest was made and charges will be pursued with the county prosecutor.
  • Alcohol was reported stolen in the 1300 block of Highway K at 3:02 p.m.
  • Cash was reported stolen from a cash register in the 100 block of West Terra Lane at 5:35 p.m. Hardy Day, 17, of Dawsonville, GA was arrested and charged with stealing and assault. Bond was set at $10,000. Darrell Jennings, 19, of Indianapolis, IN, was charged with stealing. Bond was set at $10,000.
  • A bottle of alcohol was reported stolen in the 1300 block of Highway K at 6:28 p.m. An arrest was made and charges will be pursued with the county prosecutor.
  • A domestic assault was reported in the 2000 block of Glengate Estates Drive at 10:27 p.m. No one was transported for injuries. Charges will be pursued with the county prosecutor.

Sunday, February 4

  • A domestic assault was reported in the 800 block of Hardcastle Drive at 3:05 a.m. No one was transported for injuries. An arrest was made and charges will be pursued with the county prosecutor.
  • Jewelry was reported stolen in the 400 block of Country Stone Drive at 10:40 a.m.
  • Medication was reported stolen in the 7000 block of the 364 South Outer Road at 2:07 p.m.
  • A merchandise card was reported stolen in the 8500 block of Mexico Road at 3:06 p.m.
  • A domestic assault was reported in the 400 block of Briscoe Avenue at 6:43 p.m. No one was transported for injuries. Charges will be pursued with the county prosecutor.

Monday, February 5

  • No reports

Tuesday, February 6

  • A gift card that had been delivered to a residence in the 400 block of Winter Wind Drive was reported stolen at 2:57 p.m.
  • Shoplifting was reported in the 2200 block of Highway K at 3:46 p.m.
  • A domestic assault was reported on Oak Leaf Drive at 4:43 p.m. No one was transported for injuries. Charges will be pursued with the country prosecutor.
  • A sliding glass door window pane was reported damaged in the 100 block of Weatherby Landing Drive at 5:37 p.m.
  • A domestic assault was reported in the 9000 block of Harvest Run Drive at 6:10 p.m.
