O’Fallon Police Blotter: More Thefts from Unlocked Cars, Unattended Bags

The following reports for May 12 – 18, 2016 were supplied to 70 West Sentinel by the O’Fallon Police Department. A report of an arrest or charges filed is not an assumption of guilt, nor does it indicate that anyone was convicted of any crime.

Thursday, May 12

  • A debit card and cash were reported stolen from an unattended purse in the 900 block of Highway K at 1:24 p.m.
  • A gaming console and television were reported stolen in the 900 block of Winged Foot Drive at 1:57 p.m.
  • Plexiglass was reported stolen on Cool Springs Industrial Drive at T.R. Hughes at 10:30 p.m.

Friday, May 13

  • A victim in the 200 block of Amber Crest Drive reported having paid for a service on their computer and finding it to be a scam.
  • A 44-year-old female from O’Fallon was arrested for stealing a bottle of glue in the 1300 block of Highway K a 5:11 p.m.
  • Cash was reported stolen from a wallet that was left in an unattended gym bag at 8:15 p.m. in the 3400 block of Pheasant Meadow Drive.
  • A report was made in the 200 block of Equestrian Downs Drive at 8:24 p.m. of a family member not relinquishing custody of a child. Officers checked the child’s status to make sure the child was safe, and an investigation is ongoing.

Saturday, May 14

  • A tire was reported damaged on Northwalk at 6:01 p.m.
  • A pocket knife was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Crusher Drive at 10:25 p.m.
  • A garage door and a vehicle were reported damaged in the 2200 block of Leah Drive at 11:20 p.m.

Sunday, May 15

  • A handgun was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 2400 block of Tuckahoe Place at 7:21 p.m.
  • Clothing, jewelry, speakers, sunglasses, and shoes were reported stolen in the 2300 block of Highway K at 7:23 p.m.

Monday, May 16

  • A 23-year-old female from O’Fallon was arrested for stealing cosmetics in the 1300 block of Highway K at 11:22 a.m.
  • A radar detector, tennis shoes, and clothing were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 900 block of Ardsley Drive at 5:08 p.m.
  • Gas was reported stolen but was later paid for in the 300 block of Main Street.
  • A purse was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 900 block of Bryan Road at 10:25 p.m.

Tuesday, May 17

  • Electric dog collars were reported stolen in the 2200 block of Highway K at 1:13 p.m.

Wednesday, May 18

  • A domestic assault with a knife was reported in the 400 block of Prince Charles Drive at 6:09 a.m.

  • A bottle of alcohol was reported stolen in the 1000 block of Bryan Road at 9:39 a.m.
  • Wheel center caps were reported stolen in the 8200 block of O’Fallon Lakes Drive at 12:42 p.m.
  • A vehicle was reported scratched in the 400 block of Vine Street at 3:48 p.m.
  • A dirt bike was reported stolen from an open garage in the 2100 block of Preston Woods Parkway at 5:23 p.m.
  • A cell phone that was delivered to an address on Vine Street was reported stolen. A juvenile was taken into custody.
  • Cash was reported stolen from three purses left unattended in the 2200 block of Highway K at 9:19 p.m.
