O’Fallon Police Blotter: Bail money scam; items stolen from house under construction

The following reports for April 25 – May 1, 2018 were supplied to 70 West Sentinel by the O’Fallon Police Department. A report of an arrest or charges filed is not an assumption of guilt, nor does it indicate that anyone was convicted of any crime.

Wednesday, April 25

  • A rear vehicle window was reported damaged in the 200 block of Deer Hollow Court at 1:33 p.m.
  • Jewelry was reported stolen in the 2100 block of Farnsworth Drive at 2:24 p.m.
  • An assault was reported in the 4600 block of Highway K at 3:08 p.m. No one was transported for injuries. No prosecution will be pursued.
  • A vehicle was reported scratched in the 1500 block of Bramblett Crossing at 5:42 p.m.
  • A domestic assault was reported in the 400 block of Cordes Street at 6:41 p.m. No one was transported for injuries. A juvenile was taken into custody.
  • A scam was reported in the 2900 block of Wheatfield Farms Drive at 8:07 p.m. The victim sent money via a Green Dot card when told on the phone that bail money was required.

Thursday, April 26

  • Shoplifting was reported in the 2100 block of Highway K at 12:20 p.m.
  • Electronics including laptops and Amazon TVs were reported stolen in the 2300 block of Highway K at 8:03 p.m.

Friday, April 27

  • A domestic assault was reported in the 400 block of Prince David at 12:42 a.m. Nicholas Womack, 31, of O’Fallon was arrested and charged by the county prosecutor with second degree domestic assault. Bond was set at $5,000.
  • A burglary was reported in the 100 block of West Terra Lane at 8:06 a.m. A door was damaged to gain entry, and cash and smoking devices were taken. An arrest was made and charges will be pursued with the county prosecutor.
  • An assault was reported on William Booth Drive at 10:06 a.m. No one was transported for injuries. An arrest was made and charges will be pursued with the municipal court.
  • An assault was reported in the 2300 block of Oaktimber Drive at 2:34 p.m.
  • A 30-year-old from O’Fallon was arrested for stealing a charger in the 1300 block of Highway K at 4:34 p.m.
  • A domestic assault was reported in the 200 block of St. Joseph Avenue at 9:53 p.m. No one was transported for injuries. An arrest was made and charges will be pursued with the municipal court.

Saturday, April 28

  • An assault on a law officer was reported at 2:48 a.m. in the 1500 block of Snowbird Lane. No one was transported for injuries. An arrest was made and charges will be pursued with the municipal court.
  • Stealing of a motor vehicle was reported in the 1600 block of Oakwood Drive at 11:29 a.m. The vehicle was recovered and no prosecution was pursued.
  • A domestic assault was reported at 3:12 p.m. in the 1900 block of Glengate Estates Drive. No one was transported for injuries. Charges will be pursued with the municipal court.
  • A domestic assault was reported in the 100 block of Civic Park Drive at 6:08 p.m. No one was transported for injuries. Charges will be pursued with the county prosecutor.
  • An assault was reported in the 900 block of Ozzie Smith Drive at 8:16 p.m. No one was transported for injuries. The investigation remains active.
  • A domestic assault was reported on Downing Street at 11:54 p.m. Wesley York, 29, of O’Fallon, was arrested and charged with fourth degree domestic assault. Bond was set at $25,000.

Sunday, April 29

  • A 28-year-old from O’Fallon was issued a summons for stealing a cab ride on Bramblett Trail at 6:02 a.m.
  • A tire was reported damaged in the 8600 block of Veterans Memorial Parkway at 2:43 p.m.
  • A domestic assault was reported in the 700 block of Aster Lane at 4:08 p.m. No one was transported for injuries. A summons was issued and charges will be pursued with the municipal court.
  • A mailbox was reported damaged in the 2600 block of Brook Meadow Lane at 5:08 p.m.
  • An assault was reported in the 2300 block of Oak Path Drive at 8:26 p.m. No one was transported for injuries. Charges will be pursued with the county prosecutor.
  • A domestic assault was reported in the 700 block of Whispering Willow Drive at 9:08 p.m.

Monday, April 30

  • Items including an air compressor, extension cords, Air Keg, and fifty sheets of wood were reported stolen from a house under construction in the 100 block of Cobble Road at 7:29 a.m. Also stolen in the area were a sledge hammer and a metal framing square.
  • Shoplifting was reported in the 100 block of McDonald Lane at 10:36 a.m.
  • Ten bottles of alcohol were reported stolen in the 100 block of McDonald Lane at 11:08 a.m.
  • A lawnmower was reported stolen in the 700 block of Danny Lane at 3:45 p.m.
  • Shoplifting was reported in the 2100 block of Highway K at 4:32 p.m.
  • A window was reported damaged in the 900 block of Winged Foot Court at 9:14 p.m.

Tuesday, May 1

  • A rear window was reported damaged in the 100 block of Wild Pigeon Court at 6:17 a.m.
  • Shoplifting was reported in the 1300 block of Highway K at 10:46 a.m.
  • A domestic assault was reported on Green Briar Hills Court at 11:02 a.m.
  • Four license plates were reported from two vehicles in the 1400 block of Hoff Industrial Drive at 1:44 p.m.
  • Shoplifting was reported in the 1300 block of Highway K at 2:06 p.m.
  • A vehicle hood was reported dented in the 1900 block of Dona Jane Drive at 7:31 p.m.
  • Domestic assault with a knife was reported in the 300 block of Savannah Garden Drive at 8:42 p.m. Faleniko Isaia, 27, of O’Fallon, was arrested and charged with second degree domestic assault. Bond was set at $10,000.
  • Domestic assault was reported in the 100 block of Lamplighter Way at 11:21 p.m.
