O’Fallon Man Charged with Trafficking in Stolen Identities

Shannon Marc Krieg

An O’Fallon man was charged with one felony count of trafficking in stolen identities after police searched a bag in his possession and found six fake receipts from the Missouri Department of Revenue for Missouri drivers licenses.

The receipts all had photos of 38-year-old Shannon Marc Krieg but contained personal information for five different individuals. In addition to the receipts, Krieg had 14 pages of personal information that includes names, addresses, birth dates, social security numbers, phone numbers, employment information (including salaries), and credit scores.

The receipts are issued to drivers license applicants and serve as temporary identification until the applicant receives the official license in the mail.

According to court documents, Krieg also had receipts with the photo of the same unknown female and personal information from ten different individuals.

Police said that Krieg admitted to possessing the items and using them fraudulently to open lines of credit.

Bond was set at $15,000, cash only. A bond reduction motion was filed on March 8, and a disposition hearing is scheduled for April 12.
