O’Fallon City Council September 13 agenda: Sewer lateral insurance rate hike, fireworks changes

The O’Fallon City Council will meet on Thursday, September 13, 2018. The meetings are open to the public and can be viewed on streaming video through the city’s website. Meetings are held in the council chambers at the Municipal Centre, 100 North Main Street, O’Fallon.

On the agenda for the 5:30 p.m. workshop:

  • Proposed Traffic Generation Assessment fee that developers would pay to help with future road improvements
  • Sewer Lateral Insurance Program – proposed rate hike and possibility of adding root intrusion removal
  • Recycling update
  • Potential modification of fireworks regulations
  • Upcoming Planning & Zoning items

On the agenda for the 7:30 p.m. regular meeting:

  • Mayoral appointments of David Nolan and Pam Hobbs for the Public Works advisory committee

  • Public hearing and first reading of an amendment for the city council to review decisions about preliminary plats

  • First reading of an amendment to update state speed limits in the city code
  • First reading of the acceptance of storm sewers at Lion’s Choice
  • First reading of the acceptance of storm sewers at Nakyz Addition
  • First reading of changes to the city’s fee for the Sewer Lateral Repair Program
  • Resolution for the wastewater treatment plant project ($99,630)
  • Resolution for a scope of work adjustment for the O’Day Park activity/conference center ($69,913)
  • Resolution for a fee for traffic impact associated with Keaton Woods subdivision ($20,907)
  • Resolution for concrete purchase ($32,070)
  • Resolution for scope of work adjustments for the Justice Center ($103,255)
  • Resolution for lift station upgrades at McBride Brookside ($22,788)
