The City of O’Fallon has announced the resignation of City Administrator Bonnie Therrien.
According to the release, Therrien resigned in a letter to Mayor Bill Hennessy and the O’Fallon City Council. The resignation is retroactive to February 28, 2017.
“I am grateful to Bonnie for her service to O’Fallon, our residents and our businesses,” said Mayor Hennessy. “Bonnie is a true professional, and she has helped our City move in a very positive direction over these past four years. She was a strong supporter of our City staff, and I appreciate all she’s done for our employees during her time with O’Fallon.”
Therrien has served as City Administrator since July 2013 and will continue to serve in an advisory role throughout the spring and summer while the city is recruiting and transitioning to a new administrator. Assistant City Administrator Lenore Toser-Aldaz will serve as interim City Administrator until that time.
In her resignation letter, Therrien thanked the city’s employees. “Every department gives their all to the residents in fulfilling the mission of O’Fallon,” she wrote. “I was proud and humbled to work beside each and every employee through the years.”
