Marsha Seymour, O’Fallon’s Manager of Festivals and Tourism, announced the choices for the main stage acts at this year’s Heritage and Freedom Fest at Thursday night’s city council meeting.
“We’re just 80 days from O’Fallon’s largest celebration,” Seymour said.
The festival, which is held at the Ozzie Smith Sports Complex, will run from Sunday, July 2 to Tuesday, July 4. Headliner acts will be performing on Monday, July 3 and on the Fourth of July. The festival features free concerts, a carnival, fireworks, and a parade. Admission and parking are free.
Country music performer Eric Paslay will be taking the stage on Monday, July 3. Paslay has five hit recordings, including “Angel Eyes” and “FridayNight.”
On the Fourth of July, the World Classic Rockers (WCR) will perform legenday hits. WCR is composed of former members of such classic rock bands as Lynyrd Skynyrd, Boston, Journey, Toto, Steppenwolf, and Santana.
The July 4 headline act will be Creedence Clearwater Revisited, a band formed by two of the founding members of Creedence Clearwater Revival to perform CCR hits for a new generation.
