Everyone is invited to celebrate the grand opening of the new 57-acre O’Day Park on Saturday, April 27, at 3 p.m. Guests are encouraged to explore O’Day’s unique features, including the Adventure Playground and O’Day Lodge, sample food from the Lodge’s preferred caterers, and will have an opportunity to win park-related prizes.
The event begins at 3 p.m. with the opening of the Adventure Playground. Kona Ice will be on site selling frozen treats, and kids will get to experience O’Fallon’s amazing new playground.
At 4 p.m., the celebration moves to O’Day Lodge, O’Fallon’s newest event, activity, banquet and meeting space. The Lodge’s preferred caterers will be onsite to share samples of the available food options. Live entertainment will be provided in the outdoor amphitheater.
Raffle prizes include a free rental of O’Day Lodge, a free week at Adventure Camp (ages 8-13) and a $100 Pasta House gift card.
“We are very excited to share this incredible new park with our residents,” said Mayor Bill Hennessy. “O’Day Park is unlike anything we have in O’Fallon. It will offer our residents a chance to get out and enjoy nature, right in their own backyard And, with O’Day Lodge, we think this park will quickly become one of the most sought after destinations for weddings, family events and more.”
O’Fallon voters approved the construction of O’Day Park with the passage of Prop P in 2017. The 57-acre park includes an Adventure Playground, miles of paved and natural trails, an amphitheater, O’Day Lodge and pavilions, including one designed specifically for teens. O’Day Park is located approximately one-mile south of I-64 on Highway DD.
