The only candidates to file for office in Wentzville and Lake Saint Louis yesterday–the first day of the filing period for the April 5, 2016 municipal election–were the current office-holders.
In Wentzville, voters will be electing a mayor and three aldermen.
For the office of mayor, the only candidate filing on the first day was the current mayor, Nick Guccione.
Filing for open seats on the board of aldermen in Wentzville were incumbents Robert Hussey (Ward 1), Michael Rhoades (Ward 2), and Linda Wright (Ward 3).
Next April, Lake Saint Louis voters will be filling three seats on the board of aldermen. The only candidates applying on the first day of the filing period were incumbents Gary Torlina (Ward 1), Karen Vennard (Ward 2), and Jason Law (Ward 3).
The filing period for the April 5, 2016 election closes at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, January 19, 2016.
