“Paper and Thread,” a solo exhibit by Shirley Eley Nachtrieb, will be on display now through May 31 at the Lillian Yahn Gallery in Winghaven.
Nachtrieb’s work is a blend of collages, small quilts, books, and dolls. She has a keen love of nature and texture.
A four-time winner of the Grumbacher Award of Excellence, Nachtrieb will be discussing her work at a reception from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 7. Wine and hors d’oeuvres will be served.
One of Nachtrieb’s works, a framed original water color, “Waterlilies,” will be raffled to benefit the St Charles County Arts Council. Tickets are available at the gallery through May 31.
The Lillian Yahn Gallery is located across from Llywelyns’ Pub at 7443 Village Center Drive,
O’Fallon, MO 63368. Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays.
