The Missouri Department of Transportation will be closing one of the westbound lanes of Interstate near Route Z in Wentzville this weekend for repairs.
The closure will begin on Friday, August 25 at 11 p.m. The lane is expected to reopen by Monday at 5 a.m.
“With only one lane open on the interstate, long delays are expected on westbound I-70. Due to its proximity to the I-64/Route 61 interchange, traffic is also expected to back up onto westbound I-64 and southbound Route 61,” a MoDOT press release stated.
Crews will be removing and repairing a section of pavement, but work depends on weather conditions. To get the latest on delays during the closure, go to http://traveler.modot.org/map/.
