Local Restaurants Participate in Statewide Tip-A-Cop for Special Olympics

Local law enforcement agencies in western St. Charles County and Warren County will be taking part in a statewide Tip-A-Cop event benefitting Special Olympics Missouri by helping to serve patrons at local restaurants and collecting tips.

 Here’s where you can go and be part of the fun:

  • Monday, July 10, 4:45 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. – Culver’s (1898 Wentzville Pkwy, Wentzville) – Hosted by Wentzville PD.
  • Monday, July 10, 4:45 to 8:30 p.m. –  Applebee’s (1987 Wentzville Pkwy, Wentzville) – Hosted by Wentzville PD. 
  • Thursday, July 13, 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. –  McDonald’s (766 W. Pearce Blvd, Wentzville) – Hosted by Wentzville PD.
  • Thursday, July 13, 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. – McDonald’s (1003 N Hwy 47, Warrenton) – Hosted by Warrenton PD.
  • Thursday, July 13, 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. –  McDonald’s (647 N Service Rd, Wright City) – Hosted by Wright City PD.
  • Thursday, July 13, 4:45 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. –  McDonald’s (3160 S Service Rd E, Foristell) – Hosted by Foristell PD.
  • Thursday, July 13, 4:45 p.m. to 8 p.m. –  Applebee’s (1987 Wentzville Pkwy, Wentzville) – Hosted by Wentzville PD.
  • Saturday, July 15, 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. – El Jimador (512 Warren Co Ctr, Warrenton) – Hosted by Warrenton PD.

 Tip-A-Cop® is part of the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run® (LETR) campaign. LETR, which includes an international series of relay runs and special events like Tip-A-Cop®, is presented by more than 97,000 law enforcement officers worldwide to help raise money and public awareness for Special Olympics. The guiding purpose of the event is to raise funds and awareness for more than 15,000 athletes who participate in the Missouri program.  

Special Olympics is law enforcement’s charity of choice, not only in Missouri, but throughout the United States and in 45 countries worldwide.  In 2016, Missouri’s Torch Run was ranked No. 6 in the world based on gross dollars raised.
