Lake Saint Louis Anglers Holding Kids’ Fishing Derby May 21

On Saturday, May 21, the Lake Saint Louis Anglers Club Kids Fishing Derby will be held from 9 a.m. until noon at the big lake’s main marina located off Rue Grande.

The Fishing Derby is open to Community Association members and Lake Saint Louis residents and any children they bring. The C.A. is providing lunch afterwards with hot dogs, chips, and soda for all. Anglers Club members will be passing out some informational books and a few goodies.

Club officers and members will assist the youthful anglers in distributing bait, baiting hooks, weighing and scoring the catches, distributing the prizes to the winners, and preparation and serving of food and beverages, which are free based on funds raised for this event.

There will also be casting contests. Biggest fish and casting contest prizes will be awarded in four age brackets: 1-6 years, 7-9 years, 10-12 years, and 13-16 years.
