Infant Injured in Failure-to-Yield Accident on Highway 61

An infant sustained minor injuries in an accident Thursday night on Highway 61 and North Point Prairie Road, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

Madelynn G. Hendrickson, 25, of Moscow Mills, attempted to cross over the southbound lanes of Highway 61 from North Point Prairie Road just after 11:30 p.m. Thursday night.

Hendrickson failed to yield to oncoming traffic and the Mini Cooper she was driving was struck in the rear driver’s side by a 2008 Ford Explorer driven by Bryan D. Davis, 45, of O’Fallon.

A female infant that was a passenger in the car sustained minor injuries and was transported to St. Joseph Hospital West by ambulance. The infant was in a safety device.

Neither Hendrickson nor Davis were injured in the crash.
