Altitude Trampoline Park is seeking a conditional use permit to redevelop the space currently occupied by the Value Village thrift store in O’Fallon Square on the north side of Veterans Memorial Parkway just west of Highway K.
The indoor park would offer a main court featuring an arena with 125 interconnected trampolines, as well as a 60-foot foam pit, dodgeball courts, dunk lanes, and a special kids’ area. The company plans to offer open jump times, fitness classes, and private parties.
The company’s website projects a winter 2016 opening for the new O’Fallon location. The company, headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas, currently has 19 parks in the U.S. and U.K., 16 parks under construction, and 24 additional parks coming soon. The closest existing park is in Glencoe, Illinois.
David Woods, O’Fallon’s planning and development director, told 70 West Sentinel that Value Village may be looking for a new location, but that he wasn’t aware of any definite plans for the thrift store.
This time last year, O’Fallon Square was the process of a major change – the At Home store was completing its plans to move into the old K-Mart space on the eastern end of the development.
