A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for March 16 for Adam Edward Strawn, 22, of O’Fallon, who was charged with one count of felony domestic assault and one count of misdemeanor assault on a law enforcement officer on December 20, 2016.
On that date, police say, Strawn threatened his mother with knife when she would not go to the store and get him more alcohol.
According to court documents, the victim said that Strawn threatened “to cut her open from head to toe.” The victim eventually agreed to go to the store. Strawn accompanied her to the car, and on the way, he grabbed her face and bit her.
While in custody at the O’Fallon Police Department, Strawn took a swing at a police officer and had to be restrained, police said.
Bond was set at $10,000, cash only, and Strawn was ordered not to have contact with the victim. A motion for bond reduction has been filed.
