Hundreds of jobs now are available with governments, school districts and other public administration organizations in St. Charles County. To showcase these opportunities, a Government & Public Service Career Fair will be hosted by the Missouri Job Center of St. Charles County starting at 5 p.m. on Thursday, June 28 at the Community Commons rooms at the St. Charles City-County Spencer Road Library Branch in St. Peters.

Participating employers include the cities of St. Charles, St. Peters, O’Fallon, Wentzville and St. Charles County Government; the school districts of Fort Zumwalt, Francis Howell, Orchard Farm and Wentzville; and St. Charles Community College along with the St. Charles City-County Library District.

Some of the job categories available include administration, education, information technology, healthcare, law enforcement, library sciences, parks and recreation, engineering, inspections, criminal justice, landscaping, child care, transportation, food service, maintenance and more.

“As our community continues to grow and we experience a national retirement wave combined with historically low unemployment, there are hundreds of great career opportunities now available with local governments, school districts and other public-sector organizations in our area,” says St. Charles County Director of Business and Workforce Development Scott Drachnik. “Whether someone is looking for their first job or a better job, we encourage them to consider attending the Government & Public Service Career Fair to learn more about local job and advancement opportunities.”

Admission is free, and attendees are encouraged to bring an updated resume to the event.
