Edmunds.com reported earlier this month that GM will be recalling GMC Canyon and Chevrolet Colorado pickup trucks manufactured between January 6, 2014 and December 24, 2014 at the assembly plant in Wentzville.
The recall, which is expected to begin July 10, identifies an imperfection in the front brake calipers which can cause a brake fluid leak and potentially increase stopping distance.
Warning signs of a leak–brake fluid on the ground and warning lights– generally appear before 1,500 miles.
Owners experiencing problems are encouraged to contact their dealer. The recall notices will include contact numbers for Chevrolet and GMC customer service.
