Four Injured in Two Separate Early-Morning Crashes

Three people were seriously injured in a head-on crash in Lincoln County just after midnight Saturday, and just a few hours later a Wentzville woman was injured in a one-car crash in St. Charles County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, two 25-year-old Foristell residents sustained serious injuries when the Volkswagen Jetta they were in was struck head-on just after midnight on Highway U. William J. Albin, who was driving the Jetta, and passenger Paige L. Caraway were airlifted to Mercy Hospital in St. Louis. It is unknown if they were wearing seat belts.

The driver of the other car, Donald C. Warren, 19, of Troy, was also seriously injured and was airlifted to Mercy Hospital. He was not wearing a seat belt.

At 4:34 a.m., a 206 Kia Optima driven by Breeanna M. Rooney, 23, of Wentzville, was southbound on Highway T north of Highway D, and according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, traveling too fast for conditions.

The car left the roadway, struck a mailbox, a tree, and a ditch.

Rooney, who was wearing a seat belt, sustained moderate injuries. She was transported to SSM St. Joseph Hospital – Lake Saint Louis.
