First Responders to be Honored for Teamwork During Crash Extrication

First responders from eight different agencies will be honored Wednesday for their actions after a May 25 car crash trapped a 17-year-old in his car.

Members of the Wentzville, Wright City and Lincoln County Fire Protection Districts, Lincoln and St. Charles County Ambulance Districts, St. Charles County Emergency Communications, ARCH Helicopter and the Missouri State Highway Patrol will receive the Liberty Mutual Firemark Award.

This award, which usually honors a Firefighter for heroism or community service, will instead go to this group of first responders for their professionalism and teamwork.

The award ceremony will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 13 at Wentzville Fire Station #1, 209 West Pearce in Wentzville.
