The developer of Wentzville Bluffs has submitted plans to the Planning and Zoning Commission for a multi-tenant building with a pizza restaurant on one side.
The site on Highway Z is adjacent to the lot where a new Burger King has been approved for construction. The developer has not yet identified the pizza restaurant that would occupy the space if plans are approved.
The site plan submitted to the city shows a 6,000 square foot retail center with drive-through lanes on both the north and south sides. Initially, city staff expressed concern over the lack of room for menu boards and over traffic problems that could be caused by vehicle stacking at the drive-through. The developer responded that only the north side was going to be a restaurant, and that the drive-up window would only be for pick-up of orders placed online or on the telephone.
The south side pick up window (actually a sliding glass door) may be utilized by a dry cleaning business.
The Wentzville Planning and Zoning Commission meets at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, June 6 at city hall.
